Has it Been Two Weeks?

Jeff here. I don't usually update the blog, but Marie is beat, so here I go...

Sorry for the long delay in posting to Mr. Sean's blog. Things have been very busy for us over the past few weeks. Family matters, house hunting, Sean-wrangling, and new work projects have kept us from updating the site. Have we got a treat for you tonight! Your patience has paid off! Sean is walking now - check out the videos below.

We have a lot of photos to share as well. We'll get those up later this week.

Project MIOOMA

Project MIOOMA (Make It Out Of Maryland Alive) is complete, and successful I might add. The name of this project arose from our many conversations in the car on York Road. We were constantly amazed that there weren't more accidents (although we did see several) on that road because it was definitely full of crazy, moronic, inattentive, aggressive drivers, as well as wandering pedestrians and bicyclists on the wrong side of the road. A recipe for disaster.

Anyway we are now safely in Fairfield! Our next project is finding a house....

A rough day

I know it looks like Sean got into a bar fight, but he didn't, really. We were just playing around the house and all of a sudden he has a head injury - he his his head on the corner of a door frame. Ouch! Look closely and you can see a tear rolling down his face. That's actually not from the injury, that's just from putting him on his back to change his diaper. He's a sensitive fellow.

Later on we were at the library, and he was reaching into a bin of toys and lost his balance, resulting in this bloody mouth. The library was not a quiet peaceful place for a few minutes there, but with a little cold water all was well again.

Cherry blossom festival

We drove to Arlington last week for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Here we are in front of Uncle Paul's apartment at our last visit to him in Arlington.

In the car on the way to the festival.

We took a shuttle from our parking spot to the Tidal Basin. It was so crowded we had to park really far away - it was a pain in the neck, honestly.

Here are the blossoms!

Here is Sean climbing the stairs of the Jefferson memorial. Sorry this one is sideways.

I had Sean in the carrier while we were waiting for the shuttle to return to our car. All of a sudden I felt something warm and wet on my belly.... oops he peed through his diaper! It was my fault because I didn't change him before we left Uncle Paul's apartment. So, we had to do a change right in the middle of the sidewalk, much to the amusement of many people walking by.

On the way out we drove by a place I think Aunt Elizabeth will recognize.

Sean was a good boy and slept in the car on the way there and on the way back. Here's some lovely drool making its way down to his chin.

On a completely unrelated note, here are some stylin' pants I found at a consignment shop.
