Vacation in NY

Last week we went on the Spoonhower family vacation. We put a lot of miles on the car, but thank God Sean was good for the most part. We tried to time our driving with his naps and it seemed to work out ok. Also we got 39 miles per gallon with a loaded car! Who needs an SUV?

Anyway we had a great time, and thanks to the Grandparents Spoonhower for providing us with food, shelter, and entertainment all week.

Sean enjoyed playing with the water and rocks in his bucket and watering can.

He even took the bucket with him in the kayak! Just kidding he didn't really go kayaking, his Mom won't let him until he learns how to swim. He did like to play with the oars though. He dragged them around the yard all by himself!

Josh and Sean enjoyed playing with the rocks in the water. It was nerve-wracking having toddlers who don't know how to swim around water all week, but we survived.

We had dinner at Moosewood in Ithaca. It was delicious!

Here is Dad watching while Mom takes a turn blowing up the baby pool and Sean runs around in his circus-performer-esque outfit. Jeff wore this outfit when he was a tyke, and now it's Sean's turn! I think he looks like a trapeze artist in it. He kind of acts like one too sometimes, so it's fitting.

Here are the boys having a meal.
