Summer is here!

Well it seems that spring was just nonexistent around southwest Ohio. It seems like it went from cold and rainy to hot and humid in the course of two days. I am trying my best to get the kids outside but not sunburned or dehydrated. I am also trying not to pass down to them my intolerance for heat and humidity. Apparently living in Florida for two years did not help that, because I still don't like it when it gets over 85!

Anyway, here is Sean with his "baby," Nipplehead. Also known as Chan (pronounced Sean) Blue. Originally intended for Teresa, Sean just completely latched on to the little guy and claimed him as his own. Teresa also has a Sophie Giraffe, so I don't think she minded too much.

Dancing and playing in the family room (shorts optional). I love this room! It is huge and has tons of windows, so even if it's 95 with 95% humidity, you can play inside and still feel connected to the outside. And there is plenty of room for both kids and their separate activities (for example Sean's Legos and Teresa don't mix).

Big smile! Noticed that she still doesn't have teeth here - this is from a few weeks ago. She now has about half of a tooth, the lower right center one, and the lower left center one is just about to pop through. To which Sean observed, "Now she can eat Cheez-Its!"

Teresa is now crawling, very close to walking, and likes to stand up and play with toys that way. She is getting better at standing on her own so she can play with something with both hands and not have to hold onto something for stability.

Teresa also likes to bang things together, so I often give her a drumstick or other musical instrument.

Sean is not usually bored, but he kind of looks like he is here! Or maybe he's just tired - he can't seem to find a way to fall asleep for his afternoon nap anymore. So, some days he kind of looks like this a lot and runs low on energy. I am glad he napped for as long as he did though!

  1. I can't believe how big both S and T are getting. I can't wait to meet T at Christmas (you'll be home right?) and see S again. Miss you guys!
