We drove to Rochester at the end of last month for a long weekend with the Grandparents Spoon, ending with Jeff giving a talk at RIT (his grad alma mater). His talk went well and he was excited to be in the world of academia for a day, especially at a place where the animation and gaming programs are really growing and thriving.
Grandma and Grandpa had a birthday party for Sean at their house. Grandma made an awesome LEGO cake!
Here is Sean showing how old he is. Wow, five!
While we were there he played outside a lot despite the cool temperatures (see below). Sean got just about everything he could find out of the garage and made some sort of contraption attached to the birdbath which you actually can hardly see in the picture and at one point had a bunch of vinegar potato chips in it. For the birds, you know? They are Sean's favorite chip so of course the birds must like them too!
So. Yeah. In western New York, you have to wear a winter hat when it's almost May. Wow! I am nearly a Southerner so that is pretty wild for me! Teresa had a lot of fun pushing the stroller around. And, she loves flags! She points them out all the time when we see them around town.
